Best Bathing Suit for Your Bod

Bathing suits are amongst the most revealing items in our wardrobe & can be a pain in the a$$ to shop for. We don’t all look like Beyonce in a bikini but w/ the right cut & style, we can find the suit that makes us feel like Queen Bey in a bikini so we can comfortably soak up the sun this summer. ;)

Apple: Seek styles w/ a plunging neckline & empire waist.

Why it works: The neckline elongates the torso while accentuating the bust-line (& still providing the necessary coverage). The ruched empire waistline is slenderizing & helps mask any flaws you may want to cover up.

Inverted Triangle: Seek halter styles that cut inward w/horizontal details below.

Why it works: A halter that lies close to the neck is best to balance out wider shoulders. The low cut bottoms also play a role in this balancing act, as the horizontal line adds width to your narrower bottom half.

Pear: Seek styles w/ strategic color blocking & details up top.

Why it works: As we know, black is slimming. The bottom half of this suit will flatter your hips, while the white on top & interesting neckline will keep the focus up & away from your bottom half.

Hourglass: Seek styles that highlight your curves in all the right places.

Why it works: This suit has structure & exceptional detail. The cutouts emphasize your tiny waist; the top provides the necessary support while the two toned bottom half mirrors the hourglass figure.

Rectangle: Seek styles that give the illusion of curves.

Why it works: As a rectangle, you are pretty much straight up & down, therefore the cut outs makes you look curvier. In addition the high cut bottoms & halter style adds dimension to your straight frame.

Remember, these silhouettes are only to be used as reference in how to balance out your frame. Ultimately, you are the queen of your body & it’s up to you to decide what makes you feel beautiful!
